Movement, Presence, Joy - Restored.

Restoring joy where it belongs – the kind that feels alive, active and deeply yours.

Meet Elaine

Hi, I’m Elaine Dunphy - movement guide, joy seeker, and the heart behind The Joy Restoration Project.

After years in the corporate world, I left in 2015 to follow what truly lit me up: helping people reconnect with their bodies and rediscover the simple, powerful feeling of joy. What started as Nia on the Rock and Ageless Grace on the Rock has now grown into something bigger - a beautiful umbrella where joyful movement, meditation, presence, and community all come together.

I believe joy isn’t something you chase - it’s something you restore. Through playful, inclusive movement that works for every body and every age, I help people move from stress, fatigue, and disconnection back into aliveness, ease, and laughter.

Whether I’m dancing with a room full of seniors, leading a movement break for men’s mental health groups, or guiding a big corporate audience, my greatest joy is watching that spark come back into people’s eyes.

Come as you are. Leave feeling more like yourself.

I can’t wait to meet you on the dance floor, in a circle, or on the stage.

Why Joy?

In a world that feels increasingly heavy, with constant news cycles, stress, burnout, and disconnection, joy has never been more essential.

Yet for many of us, joy can feel distant. Life gets busy. Bodies change. We lose touch with that simple, alive feeling we once knew. We start wondering if it’s even possible to feel light, playful, and present again.

That’s exactly why this moment matters.

After nearly a decade of growing Nia on the Rock and Ageless Grace on the Rock - and weaving in meditation and other embodied practices - I realized everything I had been building was pointing toward something bigger. It was time to bring it all together under one clear, welcoming umbrella: The Joy Restoration Project.

This isn’t about leaving the past behind. It’s about creating one beautiful container where I can meet people exactly where they are - whether in a gentle seniors’ class, a lively corporate movement break, an intimate workshop, or a large stage.

Joy Is Not Optional - It’s Essential

When the energy around us feels heavy, taking even one hour to move, breathe, laugh, and reconnect becomes one of the most powerful acts of self-care. You don’t need to be flexible, fit, or “ready.” You only need a little curiosity and a willingness to show up as you are.

Through joyful movement, music, meditation, and community, we help you restore what may feel lost — that spark of aliveness that’s been waiting inside you all along.

You don’t have to chase joy. You just need a safe, welcoming space to let it return.

That’s what The Joy Restoration Project is here for.

Alive, grounded, and joyful again - at any age or ability.
